Photo essay: Preparing antipasti at Fifteen Cornwall
Back in the summer I spent a couple of hours at Fifteen at Watergate Bay in Cornwall photographing antipasti dishes for The Great Cornish food book.
Here are some of the photos that were used in the book, plus a whole load more. The light is amazing at Fifteen: it has a huge window which overlooks the beach and the reflected light from the sea and sand is just beautiful.
Food photography is so much more than taking pretty pictures of food: you have to be able to take stunning shots of interiors, do some documentary photography and also be a good portrait photographer.
